Mission
In the spirit of honoring those who have lived long lives, the Women's
Auxiliary group has been led by a mission to nurture and enrich
the quality of life of the elderly residents of Seacrest Village
Retirement Communities. To accomplish our goals this vital support
group orchestrates a two special events each year to heighten community
awareness and gather financial assistance to help offset the Homes'
annual deficit of almost $1,000,000. Over the years, more than 2
million dollars has been raised.
Special Projects
Important projects benefiting the residents have included:
- Purchasing
vans and mini-busses to transport residents at both campuses.
- Redecorating
and refurbishing residential and nursing wings.
- Enhancing
shabbat and holiday services through the purchase of a Torah
and prayerbooks.
- Contributing
$1 million to the building fund for construction and expansion
of Seacrest Village, Encinitas.
Special
Events
Each year the Auxiliary hosts two major fundraisers that
are attended by hundreds of guests: a fashion show & luncheon
and a black-tie dinner dance. Both events have gained a reputation
for being first class, innovative and fun, and are eagerly awaited
each year by the community at large.
In the past the Auxiliary has partnered with Neiman Marcus and
Nordstrum to produce a first class fashion show.
Leadership
The President of the Women’s Auxiliary and a committee of
dedicated women oversees the organization. Important issues are
discussed and decisions are made in an atmosphere of warm camaraderie.

Tribute
Fund
Contributions are listed in the Happenings magazine, and a deluxe
card of remembrance is sent to the person honored. A standard
card is sent for a minimum tribute contribution of $5. All donations
may be sent to the Office of Fund Development , Seacrest Village

Membership
Membership in the Auxiliary costs only $25 per year for a Standard
Membership or $50 per year for a Sustaining Membership. Dues are
tax deductible. If you would like to be a part of this special
