The 211 Club Patron Party

A Celebration of Thanks for your Generosity!
The exclusive 211 Club Patron Recognition Party is held each year to honor our most generous supporters of the Resident Assistance Fund. This dinner is not a fundraising event but instead an evening to celebrate this special group of committed supporters.

This year's Recognition Party took place on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the lovely home of Cindy & Larry Bloch. The evening began with a stroll through the Bloch Family Vineyard with a tasting of their very own Alberino white wine as well as lemonade squeezed fresh from the lemon orchards. Catered by Chef Jeffrey Strauss, owner and chef of the acclaimed Solana Beach restaurant Pamplemousse Grille, supporters were treated to pommes gaufrette with ahi tartare and wasabi caviar, wonton tacos with roast duck and hoisin sauce, potato pancakes with smoked salmon, crème fraiche and chives accompanied by tray passed champagne and the evening’s signature drink – Montera Martini, named after the Bloch Family Vineyard. Guests listened to the sounds of guitarist Peter Sprague while enjoying the relaxing indoor/outdoor living of the estate. The delicious dinner menu began with a crispy eggplant parmesan salad with burrata cheese followed by an entrée of red wine braised short rib “Osso Bucco Style” with saffron rice pilaf and roasted summer vegetables. Guests were then invited to indulge in an amazing dessert buffet that included chocolate bread pudding, fruit cobbler, an assortment of cookies, a cheese and fruit display, chocolate mousse, pecan tartlets and many other decadent treats.
